Founded in 2006, Boomerang Asset Recovery developed critical technology
solutions capable of comprehensively locating difficult to find corporate
unclaimed property assets. We combine these technologies with a unique set
of proven business processes that provide corporate customers with a measurable
and cost-effective solution for successfully managing their unclaimed property
recovery efforts.
Management Team
Boomerang's
management team consists of business professionals each with extensive and
complimentary work experience that will support and lead the Company's success.
Our President has 15 years of successful start-up business experience; the
COO has over 23 years of operations and finance experience with fortune
500 companies; and the CTO is a data warehouse and data mining expert with
over 25 years experience.
Patrick Carberry, Founder and Chairman
Patrick brings over 20 years experience in the IT industry with over 15
years specializing in the Utilities Industry. He is the former Utilities
Practice Manager at TMP Worldwide, Inc., where he worked for 12 years through
several acquisitions. He was responsible for managing very successful and
large projects, using up to 75 consultants, at many customers. Prior to
his work at TMP Worldwide, Patrick worked at IBM as a Programmer/DBA and
Decision Support Specialist. Starting in the late 1980's, Patrick began
designing and developing solutions exclusively in the Utilities Industry.
His primary focus was providing solutions in Customer Service Departments.
As President of Bottom Line Impact, Patrick is the Chief Architect of the
company's Automated Revenue Miner. He travels extensively to Utilities nationwide,
discussing how Bottom Line Impact can assist Utility Credit and Collections
Departments reduce write offs. Patrick is a graduate in Computer Science
from the University of Iowa.
Greg Hampton, President
Greg brings over 22 years direct experience in broadcast media, information
services and technology development industries in both established and start-up
businesses. Before founding Boomerang, Greg worked with the Casino and Gaming
Television Network (CGTV), a promising gaming network now on-air in Canada,
and helped position them for $75 million in financing. He also co-founded
Acme Data Mining, a technology licensing spin-out of Verance Corporation.
Prior to co-founding Acme Data Mining, Greg served as Senior Vice President
of Business Development for Verance Corporation, an industry-leading developer
of audio and video watermarking systems. Verance was formed by a merger
of Aris Technologies and Solana Technology Development Corporation. While
at Verance and Solana, Greg led all business development and strategic planning
efforts while working closely with the company's world-class engineering
team. These efforts resulted in Verance's technology becoming the worldwide
industry standard watermark for copyright protection of recorded music,
film and television content. He also became a co-inventor on one of the
company's many granted patents. Prior to his tenure with Solana, Greg spent
six years in varied sales and marketing positions with The Arbitron Company,
one of the world's largest broadcast media information service companies.
Greg holds a BGS degree in business and communications from the University
of Iowa.
John Waite, Chief Operating Officer
John brings with him 20 years of experience in finance and operations with
over 13 years specializing in the video games industry. John served as the
VP of Operations at Jack of all games, a subsidiary of Take Two Interactive
(NASDAQ, TTWO), where he was responsible for all distribution facilities,
finance, IT and HR. Prior to that he spent 9 years with Sega of America
as the Group Director of Credit, E-Commerce and Sales Administration. While
at Sega John was responsible for all treasury functions, customer service,
web store and operational efficiencies. John started his professional career
with Dunn & Bradstreet in their information resources division until
he became the Divisional Operations manager running the San Francisco division.
John is a graduate from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business
Administration Finance.
Jon Scheer, Chief Technology Officer
Jon joined Boomerang Asset Recovery with 25 years of experience developing
IT solutions in a variety of industries, including Education, Automotive,
Metals, Utilities, Entertainment and Health Care. His primary area of expertise
is Data Management where he has focused on Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence
and Data Architecture. He has a broad range of skills and experience including;
Data Management Consulting, Product Development, Application Design, Project
Management, Practice Management and Systems Architecture. Jon is a graduate
in Communications from California State University, Los Angeles.
